Profile Hazard Events
How bad can it get?

A wildfire hazard can produce different effects depending on its magnitude, duration, or intensity. For example, no two wildfires will impact a community in the same way twice because the wildfire is driven by distinct wind and fuel conditions, which can change very rapidly. The same type of wildfire even will affect different communities indifferent ways, based on geography, development, population distribution, age of building, etc.

A hazard event is a specific occurrence of a particular type of hazard.
For these reasons, the information you gather for a wildfire hazard event profiles will reflect these different characteristics. By mapping the geographic extent of identifiable hazard events because they occur in predictable areas of the community or state. Once the extent of these events is mapped you will be able to determine which portion of your community or state is vulnerable to wildfires.
