News from the Department
Field camp for 2006 was a success. As always many different personalities from all over, but everyone worked together and had a great time. Below are just some of the many pictures from this year. As always the Mackay Rodeo, lots of hard work, and lots of good food.
There are two new professors hired in the department. Leif Tapanilla, an invertabrate paleontologist in carbonate environments, is an assistant professor and affiliate curator with Idaho Museum of Natural History here at ISU. To learn more check out his website: http://www.isu.edu/~tapaleif/
Ben Crosby is a geomorphologist and uses GIS extensively in his work. He studies how landscapes evolve through time and the processes that control that evolution. Visit his website. http://geology.isu.edu/~crosbenj/
Please send in pictures of you families and current work and home and I will post them here for all to see. It's lots of fun to see how everyone is doing. Just mail to hughscot@isu.edu or neiemeli@isu.edu and as soon as I can I will put something together. Thanks ahead of time.
If you have a few minutes please fill out this PDF form and send it back as an attachement with email:
or just send us an email with your address, email, etc. . . . geology@isu.edu or neiemeli@isu.edu
