Mapping of Marsh Valley

Mapping of various forms is almost always done. The type of map depends on the project or thesis goal.

This is just a sample map to show some of the details that can't be seen unless you have the paper map. Many maps are done digitally now, and the hope is that more and more will be done in this form. Improvements happen in the technology almost daily.

This map was one of the first maps digitized in the newly formed Digital Mapping Lab a few years ago. The INEEL boundary is in red. Most of the geology is basalt flow on the Snake River Plain.
